Wow! What weekend!!
Last month we attended the Allergy and Free From Show at Olympia, London, and what a show it was! This year’s weekend focussed more on IBS than ever before and we were at its centre!
Over the weekend we hosted several talks on IBS including a specialist talk on bloating by our dietitian Julie Thompson which was very informative and a lot of you found it extremely helpful. We also held a spotlight symposium on IBS for healthcare professionals which was very well attended and received excellent feedback. And, for the first time ever, we partnered with the Sainsbury’s kitchen to give you a demonstration on what to cook for a sensitive gut!
We also got the fantastic opportunity to meet a lot of our readers and many of you had 1-2-1 consultations with either Dr Nick Read or Julie Thompson. We hope you found these helpful! We would like to thank you for showing your support over the weekend, and popping along to see us!

In case you missed out, do not fret! The Allergy and Free From Show will be back again in October (25th-26th) at the BT convention centre, Liverpool.
To join us for this special weekend and to meet your IBS Network, all you need to do is

We hope you see you again! Stay tuned for more information about what we will be up to at this year’s Northern show!
Want to know what you can eat?

At the Allergy Show we launched the brand new concept of ‘Cooking for the Sensitive Gut’, developed by the IBS Network’s Dr Nick Read, and food writer Joan Ransley, by hosting a live cookery demonstration at the Sainsbury’s kitchen. The demonstration focussed on what we can cook when we have a sensitive stomach, which went down a storm with visitors! Chef and writer Joan Ransley served up several IBS and low FODMAP friendly dishes which not only looked delicious, but are easy and simple enough for you to cook and enjoy at home!

The ‘Cooking for the Sensitive Gut’ concept recognises that what to eat is a really big issue for patients who suffer with IBS and other gastrointestinal conditions that make them intolerant to some foods. We know food is not entirely responsible for these conditions but what and how you eat can make a big difference to the way you feel and the symptoms you experience. We work with dietitians and other healthcare professionals to bring you the best, most up to date information on to how to eat well and care for yourself.
